As a part of our weekly play group, Basia and I went to Stuffington Bear Factory. They make bears for different companies in the US, but you can also ‘make’ your own bear there as well.
Place was filled with various stuffed toys – camels, deer, monkeys, penguins etc. plus of course bears. Basia wanted to make a penguin but they didn’t have it available, so she settled for a bear. We got to stuff it (you step on the pedal of a stuffing machine), brush it (with a vacuum) and give it a bath(with air). We also got a ‘birth certificate’ for the bear – Basia named her Teddy!
All in all she had fun, but I think she liked hugging all the bears better than making one 🙂 The giant one she is one was her favorite – I had to peel her off when it was time to leave.
