What Basia and Aunt Suzie did together

Basia got dressed up extra pretty to visit with Mom-Mom, her Great-Grandmother with Aunt Suzie. Basia was very shy around all the residents at first and all the attention they were giving her. Eventually she started waving and saying HI to people when asked to greet them. She enjoyed a bowl of steamed veggies that the chef brought especially for her. She took turns drinking with Mom-Mom. The caregivers offered Basia ice cream too but she only wanted the cubed carrots and other veggies. She ate everything that was in the bowl and anything that might have dropped. We enjoyed spinning the globe searching for the place her “other grandparents” live. She’s very excited to be visiting them soon and wants to know more about Poland. We watched the beautiful fish in the large fish tank and Basia said she liked the little blue and silver fish the best. She gave Mom-Mom a sweet kiss on the cheek when it was time to leave and said “I love you.”

We made a quick stop at Grandma and Grandpa’s house to get a little more love over there. Basia wanted chicken McNuggets from McDonald’s and asked for the mustard dipping sauce. She ate 3 of the 4 nuggets and then afterwards dipped her finger into the sauce and licked it off several times.

Later, she insisted on taking my iphone into her crib. She knows how to turn it on, unlock it, open the photo album, find pictures and video of herself. She can play the videos back and restarts them when they finish.. She also managed to check her Aunt Suzie’s email on the phone and by the sounds of things was trying to call and text someone. She had the keyboard open and was typing away. Unfortunately, the battery eventually died. We could hear her whimpering “battery dead, ohhhh, battery dead, need new battery, Basia should have turned it off” 🙁

She’s the cutest, smartest little techno-junkie two year old!
XOXO Aunt Suzie
